What Should I Do About A Friendship Lost?

I was a wedding planner and I and one of my clients became the best of friends over the year while planning her wedding. Our families became close even my daughters became part of the wedding party. After the wedding I received invoices that had to be covered as well as her Photography and Vidographer. I called her and told her that it was not enough money to cover it. As a friend I was going to give her the extra money to cover it, because her now husband told her befor the wedding to not go over budget. We both knew we were but I would cover it and she would help me out on other events. Well her husband file a complaint with the BB which was untrue totally so my husband would not allow me to give her the money. I really miss our friendship and it is killing me inside. Should I just give the money to her husband who I will for ever dislike. I think that we were to close because she even called me the frist day of the honeymoon. What would you do?

I'm betting that she probably feels bad too. The problem she's going to have is with her husband. I'm sure he knew the two of you were friends, so for him to send a complaint in about you was out of line. It should have been worked out between all the parties involved. It may be too late to do that now, but if you feel that bad about her friendship, at least give it a try. Make the first move. If you're rebuffed, then you won't feel so bad about the lost friendship. At least you will have tried your best to make amends and to straighten things out.
