adivse on wedding photography?

I have agreed to photograph a close friend's wedding this summer. They have spent a ton of money on the wedding and are buy a new house, so there really isn't enough room for a professional photographer. I have some photography experience. i have done a few portraits. i am not charging them anything. i am working with a Nikon d3000 and i have the standard 18-55mm Lens and also a 55-200. i need any kind of advise anyone can give me. what kind of equipment do i need. accessories? tips techniques. don't be harsh i am doing this as a favor to them i dont want just random people giving them photograph of their wedding, and like i said i am NOT charging anything. thanks everyone!

It isn't logical. Think of it this way--would they have their friends and family bake the cake and cook the meal that is going to serve the guests? Or will they ask someone who has not built a house to work on theirs? Or have their friends create a dress for her? Or buy flowers from a local market themselves?

Nothing personal here--and please don't take this wrongly.

Just don't do it. If you're uncomfortable with this, you know deep down that you're not ready to do this. It's like you know how to fly a small plane and they expect you to be in command of a Boeing 777.
