lenses to carry in a wedding?
my friend's brother's wedding is coming up, and i was planning to cover the photography alongside the professional photographer they hired. i am using the canon 550D. what lens would be optimal for the occasion? currently i own the stock 18-55mm, 50mm, 55-250mm. and which other accessories should i be carrying?
@deep_blue: lolz yes i do have a flash and it does not have a radio trigger. although i am not sure about the optical one!!1 :s but i will try to stay out of his way
I shoot with both my camera and back up camera in weddings. If I had your equipment I would start at the brides house with the 50mm for portraits and the 18 - 55mm on the other camera for groups. Before I got to the church I would switch the 50mm to the 55-250mm so that both cameras were ready for the service and groups afterwords. Since you are not the main photographer you will have time to switch your lenses between shooting. At this point, when you are just starting up, I don't feel you need to worry about fast lenses, f 5.6 with lens extended should give you enough selective focus in most cases.
Speak to the professional photographer first, he/she might not want you taking shots of his poses, but there will be plenty of opportunities for you to take other pictures.
