Wedding Flash Photography Tips

August 7th, 2010 by admin

First time taking wedding pictures need some advice?

Hello I am a in training photographer I have done lots of photography of families and kids and seniors etc... But I have never taken a wedding and I get my first experience in September. I was wondering if anyone had any tips on what type of flash I should buy I have a nikon d80 and braket and if you think I need a new lense I have been wanting to get one anyways but now heres a reason. My lense is an 18-135mm which it takes great pictures but I would like more zoom if anyone has any tips I would love to hear them
first of all I was asking for some nice responses and I am more aware of the things needed! I was just wondereing if I needed any extra so those who were being very rude Can just shut up and no one knows if I was doing it for free or not so if you dont have anything nice to say or good practical advise than stay away from this! I am sorry but I have plenty of buisness and dont need a ton of extra stuff and the wedding is for a friend JERKS

I am glad that you have asked ahead of time. That's good.

As far as hardware goes, these seem like popular items for weddings:

SB900
24-70mm f/2.8
70-200mm f/2.8
50mm f/1.8

If you are doing it for money you will probably want two of each as a back-up.
