using blankets for backdrops in portraits?
Hi I'm a beginner in photography portraits. Im just going to get lights for my studio for now. my sister wants me to do my nephew senior pictures for him and will it be OK for if I used a solid white blanket for the backdrops instead of buying regular backdrops. I'm going to be using digital backdrops instead.
a white blanket could work well, however I think you will need a back light to make sure the sheet stays white in the picture. Otherwise you'll see some disgusting grain from the fabric.
How to do it:
Have a wireless flash set up behind the nephew/subject, set it to maximum (you can always turn it down if you think you need to) Point it at the sheet and away you go.
