I want to go to UCLA... But we don't have the money?
I'm fourteen, I'm a girl, and I KNOW what I want to do; I want to major in Film Directing/Producing at UCLA, minor in Screenwriting or Acting. Maybe take a few classes in photography, too. But I want to go to school out in California. I live in MI, and I looked it up and if I went to school in LA for a year, it would rack up the same costs as it would if I went to school here for 2 or 3 years. I feel bad, but it's what I want. I guess I could get academic scholarships and sports scholarships, but I don't want to end up in debt for the rest of my life. PLUS, my dad doesn't support me in what I want to do. He told me if I chose something else he'd pay for more of my school but since I chose film, that's probably not gonna happen.
What should I do? Get a job and start saving money my now? Try to talk to him? What should I do in school? I'm already taking film production classes and writing classes as electives in High School.
