Modeling, information please.?

Okay, well I am 16 and a lot of people tell me I should be a model, ah that sounded like cocky, but no. Well and it has always interested me. But I am too shy. Is there a place I can go just to see how things work. Nothing like slutty or anything like that. Professional, and like cute photography that obviously is not corny stuff but sexy for teens you know. I obviously don't know how to explain it very well. But I hope you catch my drift any help? I am in Houston, Texas. Please keep that in my mind. And I cant travel anywhere else.

Modelling is not as easy as people put it out to be.It can be a long time until you get your first paid job.

Lets focus on the basics for now.Are you taller than 5.5?If not youre going to it very hard to find jobs.The taller you are the better. The first thing you have to do to start your modelling career is get yourself a portofolio.This is a basically a collection case with professional photographs of you.

Find a photographer who specialises in shooting models.You have to pay money,im in uk so i dont know how much is dollars,but id guess roughly 250 for the photoshoot session. Sessions last about 1-4 hours,it depends,you book one, go to a studio, most of them do your hair and makeup to suit your clothes,you still have to bring your own clothes.How many outfits you need to bring depend on how many pictures youre getting taken.The more pictures youre having taken the more moeny you must pay.

Search for studios closest to you on the internet,theyll give you contact info,so you can call them and book your appointment.

If you cant afford it you can go on websites like One Model Placeor Model Mayhem for photographers in your area that do TFP shoots.The images are pretty the same as a pro's, but you are trading your time and beauty for his time and expertise and safety is not guaranteed.

After you get your portofolio (make sure its great)you can start forwading it to agencies on the internet or personally,but its faster on the internet. If any of them like you theyll contact back nad discuss payments.
