Studio Photography - URGENT help needed please?
Hi,
I am a student doing A level photography and I have been asked by an owner of a hairdressers to take professional photos of her models and hair for her website to promote her business online.
What equipment do I need for the studio photography shoot (even the littlest details) and what kind of poses would be suitable?
Also do you have any tips that could help me with the shoot?
Your help and advice is very much appreciated.
Thanks.
Bare minimum - two light setup. Three would be better. Need a couple of speedlights (cheaper than studio lights & more portable for this shoot) - Yongnuo 560's are £50 each. Couple of stands will be about £24. Radio triggers to fire the lights (RF602's) cost around £18. You'll need a couple of softboxes and/or umbrellas - about £40 for a softbox, about £18 for an umbrella (but you'd also need a umbrellas hotshoe adapter, which will be about £15).
You could take the shots with a white b/g, or you could have some of the hairdresser location in to give context. Cross light with the 2 lights at a 45 deg angle for 2:1 or 1:1 lighting.
You'll need to shoot manual - camera & flash.
