Please help me create a blog?
I am creating a personal website for my photography portfolio. It will have a photo gallery/album and I want it to have a blog, also. The blog will be used to post my photos and write about them. I will update this blog every couple or days or so with new photos. Please don't suggest LiveJournal, Yahoo! 360, MySpace, or anything similar to those. They are not what I need. What I need is a blog that I can set up on my personal website.
I have bought web space and a domain through godaddy.com. The hosting came with a "quick blog", but I don't like it and it has an advertisement stuck to it. If I actually buy the blog service (for an extra monthly fee), I'm sure the ad would go away. However, that still doesn't change the fact that I don't like the blog.
I guess what I need is software that will allow me to customize my own blog and then upload it to my website. Is there such a thing?

FYI - I use Windows XP.
