Photography Watermark In Photoshop

What kind of Photoshop is good in photography?

My purpose is to add watermark, retouching and adjust the size of the photo.

If that's all you need to do, get Photoshop Elements. You don't need to spend the money for the professional version of Photoshop, you will probably never use more than 10% of its capabilities. Instead, spend less than $100 and get Photoshop Elements (version 7 for PC, version 6 for Mac).

An alternative is to download the free, legal Open Source image editor The Gimp. You can find it at www.gimp.org. Note that if you've used any version of Photoshop, the Gimp can be confusing because it uses a different interface. But even professionals use it. There's a large community of users for the Gimp, with forums and user groups. There are even a couple of books to help you learn to use it, and there's a free podcast called Meet the Gimp that will help you.

But before you get any software, learn to use your camera as thoroughly as you can. Your skills with the camera are more important than any software you can buy; professional photographers will tell you to "get it in the camera" meaning take the best shots you can with your camera, don't depend on the software to "fix" things for you. If you start out with good quality shots, your final results will be better and you will need to do less "fixing" in software.

Good luck.
