Camera for close up photography?

I have a regular digital camera and I like taking close up pictures, but usually they get oober blurry. I like photography and love taking close up pictures that you can see alot of detail in. I've kinda been searching around on some websites but since I'm not a photographer, I don't understand some of the vocabulary they use, its confusing. I see stuff like "18-55MM Lens" and "10X" stuff like that I have no idea what it means.

So if anyone could give some good advice on a good camera to get and update me on some photographer vocab, it would be greatly appreciated (:
Thanks <3

Just about any digital camera will have a close up setting (often a flower icon)

The problem is in holding the camera steady and in focus.

I recommend an inexpensive tripod -- a $10-$15 investment will result in much better Photographs. Yes it's a pain to lug around, but the results are worth it
