bird photography?
does anyone have any tips or tricks on how to get the camera to focus on what i want it to focus on? specifically for bird photography, when birds are in trees with many branches around, the camera usually focuses on some random branch and not the bird, and it's hard to use manual focus when the birds are constantly moving and i have to refocus it each time.
i have a digital camera, but not a dslr.
With the clumsy manual focus you have it's going to be a bit of a pain to use that and the branches make it difficult for the auto focus to work. So here's plan B:
Observe the birds, if you are talking about garden birds they are very habitual...you are looking for their favourite branches, yep...that's the key, there are spots that they will visit like clockwork. Use the manual focus and set it up for that branch and wait...that's the hard part!
It works and my links proves it does...
