Do boarding schools give out merit scholarships to families that aren't struggling?
My family makes a good amount of money per year. My dad makes a good salary but not only is he not totally supportive we can't totally afford it. This year he isn't working as much and therefore will make a lot less. Is there any chance I me getting a full or 75% scholarship even if my family isn't struggling to much? Thanks for the help.
If it helps I'm going into 9th grade next year and im looking at Linden Hall for Girls. In case you don't understand, they do offer scholarships I was just wondering if I had any chance if getting one. I have a 4.0 GPA, do horseback riding, soccer, softball, basketball, photography, and am Vice President at my school. I also do volunteer work at YMCA and work at my barn 6 hours a week.
There is no chance of me going to this school without a scholarship.
you may be able to get a scholarship, but it is doubtful that you could get financial assistance. your dad simply makes more than what that school would consider to be a minimal wage. based on what you say about yourself, you may well be eligible for a partial or full scholarship depending on what the school has available in the areas you excel in. contact them, ask for the financial office. they can help you with any questions and supply you with the forms you need to complete.
