How do you get a double major in an art college?
When you apply for art collges do you submit two portfolios? In my case I want to double major in photography and film, so do I turn in two portfolios? What if they accepted me for photography and not film? Or am I getting this all wrong?
Every college is different. An art college might ask you to submit two portfolios, but the only way to know is to ask the admissions offices at the schools you are considering attending. If you are looking at getting a Bachelor of Fine Arts (BFA), that is a very difficult degree with one major. You will have to do lots of studio work, shows, etc. Consider whether you need a second major. You might just be able to take some courses, or even get a minor in the second area. Again, the individual schools might be able to offer some advice on what program(s) will best meet your goals.
