What should I do for my 3D portfolio project?
I'm trying to get into a Graphic Design program and they want to see a portfolio with a lot of variety.. example, I HAVE to have a sketch book even thought I CAN NOT draw.. then theres graphics, photography, etc. I'm creative, but not artsy.. like drawing & sculpting, & I want to do a 3D project for the portfolio, but sculpture I'm thinking is out of the question. What are good project ideas? I was thinking of decorating a chandelier to look really cool... like a newspaper chandelier or buttons or puzzle pieces... i dunno. Any ideas?
Do you use photshop? How about showing graphic design work. If you feel that you are weak in photography don't submit samples. As far as 3D stuff, do you like architecture? There are a lot of architects that aren't artsy....my cousin and he is pretty good, draws like crap though...thank god for AutoCad and 3D Max.
