what is the difference and use between a Reflector & Diffuser?
I am looking into buying a more natural light fill to add to my photography equipment and was looking at white reflectors and diffusers.....need help in understanding the difference and use, and overall what I should get.
I mostly take outdoor portraits and on the occasion inside studio portraits.
In simplest terms, a reflector is something you bounce light off, a diffuser is something you shoot light through.
A 5-in-1 reflector is a good investment as they can be used as white, gold or silver reflectors or can 'flag' the light with the black cover. With all covers removed, they become a diffusion panel (scrim).
