Nikon D300 for starters

With the advent of the downpour of Digital Single-Reflex Lens (DSLR) cameras in the market right now, it is perfectly understandable that it is slowly becoming a norm even among enthusiasts who don't have photography as a living. The DSLR's market has significantly increased in 2010 and the demand might even pose a threat to ordinary digital cameras.

But the real question is-what is the right DSLR to buy? There are such a wide variety and array of DSLRs flooding the stores that it has become confusing if not rattling to make a decision on purchasing a first DSLR for a beginner who is apprehensive to get disappointed or is afraid that the investment will not be worth the buck.

One of the tips in buying a first DSLR is considering the brand. It is best to consider that since a popular brand would get more help if in case it needs repair or additional accessories. Plus it is also easier to search and browse for assistance in the net for simple or even complex questions pertaining to the use of the equipment.

In which case, the Nikon D300 is the best choice for an amateur. With its ease of use and a lot of buttons to navigate unlike other cameras where you have to go through a lot of settings just to get the image right. Besides being a standout to other cameras, it is also a far off improvement than Nikon's earlier models.

The D300 has better precision and resolution than others. Its auto focus (AF) function is way beyond compare to gadgets released at the same time as it was and is unbelievably sharper because of tones that give better color, highlights and shadows. The color saturation is also definitely improved than the former release which was the D200. Its lens which comes in an 18-55 mm (depending on the stock) also gives accurate pixels on an AF range.

Though the Nikon D300 is undeniably a pricey one at the rate of USD 1600, it is a camera that guarantees to be kept for a long time after it has been bought. With its advance settings that are certain to last until the release of another super power camera for amateur photographers, the D300 will do until fine skill proficiency is achieved.
