What is a good affordable 3 point light kit to purchase for studio photography in Canada?
I've gone through media training so I know all about journalism photography but want to start my own studio. I know the basics of 3 point lighting but not what brands are the best. Can you guys help me out?

Check out Ebay. There are tons of strobe kits on sale there, with and without background stands and backdrops. Prices are affordable, not a lot of big name recognition, but compared to Alien Bees or something like that, you can get a whole kit for the price of a simple strobe. Its kind of a disposable type kit. Look for replaceable bulbs and flashes, its usually in the listing if it does have them. Really starting out, you can find something that won't break you but will give you the capacity to do some decent portraits. Its not about the name on the lights anyway. Good Luck.
