Photography In The Civil War

photography in the civil war
senior project photography help?

Through advances in technology, photography has evolved to show the brutality of warfare during the civil war, WW1(or WW2 i'm not sure which one to do, probably something i can find lots of info on)and the vietnam war.

i need any suggestion to make my thesis sound much better. maybe different wording, sentence structure, anything. also may be some ideas on what i can talk about my each DOP's in the essay. my main goal in the essay is to contrast showing gradually how pohotography evolved. if you know book's, (person i can interview) that will be helpful for my topic, please list the title. THANK YOU, in advance!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I'm not sure about your thesis. Photographic technology has certainly evolved since the civil war, but the images of war are no less brutal. Matthew Brady's civil war images were mostly of the dead after a battle, not as it happened, but the emotional bottom line is about the same.
I would think that WWI might be the most interesting war to write about. For one thing, it was the ugliest war with the most death, and for another, cameras could be hand-held and there are many motion-pictures of combat. The dates will also get you off the hook for live interviews.
