photoshop layering...?
I am freaking out because I have a photography assignment due later this week where I have to layer at least two photos into a collage type thing...the problem I don't know much about photoshop. Are there any simple online tutorials you can recommend or any simple crash course in layering you can give me?
Also, if I copy an image and past it into another (I made it transparent) how do I move just the pasted image to another spot on the bottom image? the weird little black arrow on the tools bar doesn't do anything? same goes for resizing just the top image?
Another problem is I want to merge photos to HDR but it says they are not the same size even though I have cropped to the same height and width...?
sorry for all the questions but please use simple terms if you answer!
Thank you!
Use the add new layer button on the bottom right corner of the layer palette that looks like a post-it note. If the image is in a new layer it will only be moved when its in that layer the other will be unaffected. If you want good photoshop tutorials (moderately advanced for what your doing I think) try Pixel Perfect on www.revison3.com.
If you have a mac (might have a windows program too) and want to do HDR images then use Photomanix Pro. Make sure you use three picture taken specifically for an HDR image, one in dark contrast, mid contrast, and one high. The program will automatically blend the images into one, then you will be able to adjust it to how you want.
