DIY Photography Studio Lighting?

Say I want to photograph models and such.

I don't want to spend a crap ton of money on studio lighting equipment. What are some alternative DIY solutions aka ghetto lighting?
Which post am I looking at specifically?

Dawg, Escalades are played out yo. I'm using dem HID lights on my Daewoo.

Vivitar 285HV for $70
Yongnuo trigger set for $60(ish)
Cheapy lightstand for about $30(ish)
45" (at least) convertible umbrella about $45(ish)

So for just over $200 you have a 100% wireless portable light rig. You can do TONS of things with a single light.
