What does 'subjective' and 'objective' mean?

In my photography class we are supposed to critique other students work. One of the questions is, "Is this picture objective or subjective?" I've looked it up in the dictionary but I'm still not quite getting what it means.

Any help?

'Subjective' normally means relative and 'objective' factual but for a photography context I would say subjective would mean having symbolic or abstract meaning and objective means more descriptive of an object or realistic.
