Im designing a children's book from children around the age of 3-6 and was wondering what books these children enjoy .
Could you please briefly describe it?
what style does their favorite book utilize? (eg cartoon, photography ,animation)
what themes are evident?
what do you feel your children benefit from their favorite book? ( eg.fun learning, morals etc)
what do you think is an essential quialty of a sucessful childrens book

I'm a bit of a kids book fanatic. My favourite is Alice in Wonderland (obviously!).
My 6 year old likes books where something unusual happens and it is pure fantasy
Flat Stanley, Where The Wild Things Are, The Cat in The Hat, The Lorax. Charlie and The Chocolate Factory, The Witches, The Lion The Witch and The Wardrobe
He also likes books about wild animals or pets
Ferocious Wild Beasts, The Gruffulo, The Jungle Book, Too Many Bozos
He likes books where he can identify with the boy or sometimes girl in the story.
My 3 year old likes rhyme, repetition or lists that grow
The Hungry Caterpillar, Brown Bear What Do You See, The Mixed Up Chameleon, Each Peach Pear Plum, Down by The Cool of The Pool, Sam I Am, Owl Babies, Room on The Broom.
