How can I become famous at the age of 14?
Ok, I really wonder how to become famous. I am 14. I've had a look at alot of acting sites in America. But the problem is that I live in Australia. I was thinking to get a student visa to study in a performing arts school in America but it will take time to get a visa and it is very far away. Ialso have no relatives living there.
But I think that I could be able to be an actor because:
I do performing arts (dancing: ballet, hip hop, modern dance etc.)
I am pretty confident when it comes to talking
I study photography
I am starting acting school
I am passionate about music and i also study the piano and flute.
......But I'm not really a fan of singing and i have the worst voice...
I do hope to get a career in acting thou.
Firstly, this is the only opportunity i know of in Australia. It's with Disney and it is LEGIT. http://www.filmtelevisionauditions.com/2010/07/disney-channel-my-camp-rock-2-talent_11.html
Other than that.....
Hello and Welcome to how to become an actress 101!
Step 1: Begin training
Participate in any acting class, voice class, and occasionally, dance classes! Shows you're a triple threat and opens up more opportunities for you.
Step 2: Participate in local shows
Participate in your school's plays and drama club, community theater productions, etc.
Step 3: THINGS YOU MUST HAVE!
Head and body shots, resume, demo reel is optional but encouraged, prepared monologues
Step 4: Look for an agent/agency in your area, or place you want to go for college.
Step 5: NEVER be discouraged. Rejections happen!
Step 6: Keep doing local things: local/indie films, theater productions, classes, theater camps, school plays, etc. you want to keep building your resume and make casting directors and agents say "WOW, I want her!"
Step 7: Move somewhere close to the business. For acting, either LA or NY. They have the BEST opportunities.
Step 8: Go to open casting calls that are LEGIT, never fall for scams!
If you hear something on the radio like "wanna be on tv w/ demi lovato? auditions this saturday". That's a scam already. They didn't even tell you the agency, keep note and stay away from scams.
Hope this helps!! Good luck!
