WHO IS CREATIVE? I need help on naming my photography business!!!!?
I am a new photographer, just about to start a business. I am trying to think of a nice name for my business but have no creativity in that area. I was wondering if someone on here could help?
I plan on doing family, senior, and personal portraits. I also plan on doing still life and landscape photography where I will sell my pictures at fairs and maybe stores. I want something that is really unique. I don't just want it to be "photography by 'my name' "
For example, one business I know about it called Windy Hill Photography. You can tell how nice it sounds before you even get your picture taken.
If you could only give serious answers, that would be great.
I know that I have to watch out for other similar names that have been copyrighted, so don't worry about me taking someone else's name. Please help!!
Thanks
The most serious answer I can give you is - DON'T even think about starting (or rather thinking of starting) a business at the moment.
A "new photographer" ?? what exactly does that mean?
You are newly qualified (i.e. just finished 2-3 years college studying the subject) or new as in just bought your "professional" camera??
Either way, you are nowhere near ready to start a business.
Do you have 2-3 years of experience behind you taking photographs which people want to buy?
Do you have 2-3 years of running a business?
Do you have all the necessary equipment (about 50k worth)?
Do you have all the necessary insurance and business permits?
Do you have a business plan (obviously not if you can't even think of a name)?
You don't have any creativity, you have already said that, so what exactly makes you think you can run a photography business?
Please, please, don't do it - yet.
Get the necessary experience etc and then in 3-4 years think about it again if it is still something you believe you can do.
