Photography Question Help! I think I'm driving myself nuts!?
Ok I'm learning about Fstops and shutter speeds. This is just homework...but I think I know but I'm still a little confused. I made up an example of the chart we are using.
Fstops 4 5.6 8 11 16 22 32
Shutter speeds 15 30 45 60 90 125 150
How do I turn this fstop & shutter speed equivalant to be the same.
f/16 @ 125 by going (+2 & -3) The +2 & -3 is what is throwing me off.
f/16 +2 stops = f32 but then my shutter also needs slow down by 2 stops correct? My shutter should be 60.
Now the -3 is what is confusing me. Is this sounding almost like a second alternative question in stead of going + if I chose to go -?
If I'm closing down my aperture +2 stops my shutter should also change by 2 stops not 3.
Now the -3 part is that my f/16 should now become f/5.6 and my shutter be what? **my grid above does not go past 150** Is this just a screw up or am I completely doing this wrong?
