best way to learn photography and get a job doing it?
I really love taking pictures. If it was up do me i would spend all day taking pictures, building motorcycles and playing with my kids. BUT, i live in the real world. I want a career change (im a mechanic now). I looked into going to college(online preferably) for a photography degree, but ive read so many negative reviews (with out coming across many positive ones) of online art schools and how expensive they are , it made my head spin.So here is my question : what is the best way to learn photography and actually be able to make money at it?
99.9% of photographers are self employed, and as such business skills are fare more important that photography skills. If you want to go to college for photography, I would suggest getting a certificate in small business management in your local community college.
Also, it takes a tremendous amount of money to start any business, and that is the same for photography. Figure between $20k and $50k.
