which is best for putting pictures onto: CD-RW or DVD-RW?
i know that DVD-RW hold more but iv heard that they can automatically delete everything thats on them if you add more. Please help by telling me if it is a myth or not and also which is better and why.
I just take ordinary pictures on a compact digital camera but am looking into more advanced photography as i begin GCSE photography in September. (will be using a Nikon D50)

im not fussed about being able to play it on a DVD player this is an added bonus
i also use a PC not a mac unfortunately
The best way is to use a software that will do it for you with no fuss. Use this and you will be able to play back the pictures on your computer and even on a DVD player.
Click on mirror 6 and download ImgBurn: http://www.imgburn.com/index.php?act=download
Use the "Write files/folder to disc" option and just drag and drop your pictures into the white box.

And as far an "RW" - a CD-RW can be erased just like a DVD-RW can be erased if you tell something to erase and format it. It doesn't just do it on it's own. If you're really concerned about accidentally deleting pictures on your disc then use a CD-R or a DVD-R instead. They can't be erased once finalized.
