Does anyone still make any serious income from wildlife or landscape photography?
I've been shooting stock for about 5 years with 3 major libraries (2 traditional, 1 online only) and sales were increasing yearly till last year (2007), when they levelled off, and this year they have declined at all 3 agencies.
Is the stock industry in terminal decline? Are there viable alternative income streams for people who shoot nature/ wildlife/ landscapes?
Thanks for any views or comments.
Good Question. I think with the Economy like it is, Photography is starting to be something people will either do themselves or do without. It is very very hard to make a living with any form of photography these days. I would find a career where you can make money, and then do photography on the side. You pretty much have to have money to make any in the field now. Start sending your photos to different contests maybe.
