Will this photography baclground work with muslins and is this all I need?

Do I need anything else beside muslins with this or will muslins even work?

If it were to work I imagine your muslin would have to be very tight or somehow permanently placed on the roll. Otherwise it would just spin and do nothing. If it were me I might try sticky back Velcro, or sewing your loop to be tight. A seamstress could do that if you couldn't and thread could be removed. I am not sure if it would damage the material though, but being only in the loop, I don't know if you would even notice.

The other option is paper rolls.
