Stock Photography Sales and Commissions?
How much do stock photo agencies generally take per sale of an image considering it is not a micro stock site that pays a few cents to a couple bucks and the photo is not royalty free. Is there a % commission or something. If the photo was sold to advertise something and it was sold for $200 or $300 what is the stock agencies typical cut of profits?
The library will take anything from 40-60%.
It depends a lot on how good and popular your work is and how well you can negotiate with them.
