infant photography props?

so I'm photographing my niece (2 months old) and I'm rather new to photography. What are some props that aren't 'the usual' something, different and not cliche`. (teddy bears, rattlers, etc.!) any ideas?

There is really not too much new for tiny babies, mainly because they have to be totally supported. This time of year, you can put her in a large pumpkin or in a pile of leaves. (I would gather nice leaves rather than stick her down in the dirt. If using a real pumpkin, I line the inside with Saran wrap and a small towel to keep the cold damp off her skin.) Surround her with fall/Halloween things. A baby her age probably won't be afraid of spooky stuff, so use something grotesque if her parents agree, like a spooky mask or spiky ball and chain. I did a baby as a Jedi knight a few years ago with Star Wars props. You could do the Anne Geddes thing and put her in amongst a bunch of flowerpots. Have a nice fluffy set of towels and put the sleeping baby atop a stack and tie it with a ribbon. Do ET and put her in a bunch of stuffed animals or dolls. Practically any scenario that allows full support and safety, and does not chill her tiny body: Babies lose heat quickly, so either have her clothed or do the photography in a warm environment. A bouncy seat or a boppy pillow make good supports. Or drape a parent in a sheet or blanket and use a person for the support mechanism. Good lighting is also a necessity, which I won't delve into here but you can Google home available light portraits and you will find suggestions fro using windows, reflectors, or diffusing your flash to soften the light.
