Can my Kodak M380 take photos for HDR photography?

Hello, I am a noob to the photography world and have recently received a Kodak M380 camera as a gift. I was wondering if this camera will have the capabilities to take multiple photos of the same image using different stops (I believe is the correct term) in order to do HDR photography (link to concept: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/High_dynamic_range_imaging ).

Since I believe that I will not be able to adjust the intensity of the flash on my M380, is there another technique to accomplish this or should I trade my camera in for a more capable device?

Any recommendations of a quality camera for scenic/landmark HDR photos within an approximate $120 budget?

Reasonable/educated input would be greatly appreciated and immensely helpful! Thank you!

Well...Yes you can but you do not have the ideal camera for it. This camera has no manual setting on it so you can not do a multitude of exposures of different values by the traditional method (as much as HDR has any traditions yet but in past that's the way I did it) nor does it have an auto bracketing burst mode that shoots a number of different exposure values in quick succession or a dedictated HDR feature such as my Sony A550. What it does have though is a two stop up and two stop down exposure compensation feature. That means that you can stick the camera on a tripod and take a number of exposures at different values (over, under and normal exposure), load them into something like photoshop and then use the HDR merge feature to create perfectly respectable HDRs from your simple Kodak camera.

As to your 120 dollar budget for a quality camera for HDR...if you want to do it with film and a film scanner then yes...probably possible. In the digital realm...not a lot of quality items for anything beyond maybe a kickin' memory card for that budget.
