Im a beginner photographer & did few shots & 2 AVPs,comments re my work?http://macel0808.multiply.com?
Im studying the basic techniques of photography through books & do reasearches by surfing the internet.Im planning to start my formal schooling in photography hopefully in two-months time to perfect the craft.
Some of my friends already asked me to do photoshoots for them & was even asked to do a wedding?!I did two photoshoots for free but there are 4 more, just waiting for my free time. The wedding is on July & its kinda "free service" since the family is a close friend of mine. When do u think i should start asking for fees?Is my work good enough to make a portfolio and maybe start a business?Opinions of PROs are highly appreciated.thanks in advance!
Honestly, I think you have the skills but a better camera would not hurt at all. Like the other person said, don't overdo post processing and possibly work on your composition a little more. Here, let me lead you to a PDF file that might help you.

You will have to click register on the left and sign up really fast to view it, but it's a nice thing to look at if you plan to do portraits and ESPECIALLY Weddings.
