What is this called? Want to learn how to use the camera - what type of books should I be looking for?
I just got a digital SLR camera. It's my first "real" camera, and I've only ever used a point-and-shoot before. I want to go beyond the information in the manual which will only tell me where the f-stop button is or how to change the shutter speed. I am trying to learn WHEN to change the f-stop button and under what conditions and when to change the shutter speed and to what and why. Ideally I would love to find a book or a workbook that will have assignments that will explore a function of the camera and will build on knowledge gained in previous chapters. The problem is I don't know what something like that would be called, so I don't know what to search under in Amazon or on the Internet. Is that a "photography course" or what? Thank you.
