Wedding photos on CD?
Ok, I admit this may be a dumb question, but I am looking into photographers & noticing a lot of them charge much less if you get a package that just covers their services & all wedding photos on CD ~ not in an album.
This doesn't bother me because I am crafty & a control freak (lol!) so don't mind putting together our album myself. However, my concern is the quality of the photos. Am I able to print "archival quality" photos from a CD? What about the image quality?
I don't know much about digital photography, but if anyone has experience I would appreciate it =)

Ask for a "high resolution" cd. that means highest quality.
Also make sure that you retain rights to the photographs. Which means you have the right to use the pictures. This might seem obvious but as a photographer, they have the rights as the artists to use the pictures and they have to sign over the rights.
Also make sure you see examples of their work from an entire wedding. If they show you 20 or 30 good pics from 20 or 30 different weddings, that might mean they have only one good one per wedding, but if you see an entire wedding, and all the pics look good, you found a great photographer.
Make sure you also establish when they show up and when they leave. Also as a curtesy, make sure you order an extra plate for them at the reception. Also for the DJ or any other people you use. If they are with you more than 5 hours, just the decent thing to do.
