i want to get into photography?
i have a basic sony cyber shot digital camera and i love taking photos and i really want to become a good photographer but i have no idea what im doing, occassionally i will get a great shot but its not skill, purely fluke... how can i gain skills?? does any one know any awesome camera tricks to do on a basic digital camera so i can take great pics? any words of wisdom for a starter photographer.......
I don't know about your camera but it might have a manual setting, so you can play around with that and see what effects you like. just remember the bigger the aperture and the longer the shutter speed, the more the picture will be exposed (or that's how it'd be for film at least). If you want to spend the money you could get an SLR and read the user's guide or whatever comes with it.
If you're really serious about it you should also practice drawing, that'll help with composition.
