What is a good, fairly cheap camera for a beginner photographer?
I've never really done much photography, but after messing around a little on other people's cameras I want to take an interest in it. What are some good, manual cameras? Is it possible to get a digital camera where you can also adjust the controls and focus, etc.? How much do cameras like these normally cost? Any tips for buying?

You probably want an entry level DSLR. I'd get a Canon Eos 1000D. Should set you back about £250 if you get it from the right place.
Here you can use auto settings and slowly progress to learn more manual and creative ones.
