What new camera should i get? Point and shoot or Digital SLR?
Im kinda getting into photography. I loved it as a kid and im finally coming back to it now that im older. But i have no idea which is actually better for amature photography. Ive read point and shoots cause their smaller. And Digital SLRs cause thier higher quality. I have no idea which is correct. A few tips or pointers for buying a new camera would be appreciated.

More info: I lean more toward actually photography, not video taking. Its nice to be able to...but not necissary.
