A career in TV Production/photography, good or bad idea?
I'm a college student who is getting a degree in TV Production and minor in photography. I currently have a job that pays 20 dollars an hour as a camera man/editor for a small production company (I use Avid editing software and professional Sony digital cameras). I love doing this stuff and even have an interesting opening up a photography studio too. My worry is what my salary will be and if my wage will change once I leave college. Also, is the experience I'm getting going to help me get a job later? (I'll have 4 years experience once i leave college). My wage right now is great, but will it change? And will this industry have me working 24/7 once i go full time? I really want to have time with my family, but be able to provide for them at the same time. All i want to do is be able to provide for my family and do something i love, not to be rich. Any help would be great!
camera operating will be a more stable income and future if you have thoughts of making a family - imho
