does anyone have dsc 220a digital camera packard bell or good at photography?
if yes do u have the instructions as a pdf or know where to find instructions? Had a look on the net and expirimented with camera a bit, but i'm not getting anywhere.

What setting for white balance??
I want to be able to take better pics in dark room.
Either pic is black with no flash or flash has worked too much and pic is too light, any advice appreciated. Thanks
I believe the Packard Bell DSC 220A is a rebadged Orion Scientific DS8238 - there's a manual at the link.
ISO is an indication of how much light you need to take a picture - the higher the number the less light. The downside it that higher numbers also mean more electronic "noise" in the picture i.e. the picture quality suffers.
EV is Exposure Value - it's so that you can compensate for under / over exposed pictures. I'd rather do that on a PC - there's more control and you can see what your picture will really look like.
White balance is about making sure that the colours are correct - e.g. if you take a picture using ordinary room lights, whites will probably look yellow. The different settings are to compensate for the light being "wrong". I leave my cameras on auto and correct the colour on the PC - but it's probably worth experimenting.
If the flash is burning things out, try putting a piece of grease-proof paper over it to act as a diffuser. It produces a softer light.
