Which is better for digital photography backup, hard drives or DVDs?
I know that having the photos on a hard drive would be faster but I have had hard drives fail on me when they just sit.
Hard drives every time.
Back everything up to twin drives, then if one fails you still have a back up
It is cheaper overall, less likely to get corrupted files, less space, easier to catalogue, easier access, less likely to be superceded by newer technology etc etc
