NYC Photography Courses / Classes?
I have a real interest in digital photography, and I was curious if anyone knew any GOOD photography classes or courses in New York City? Classes which aren't too expensive. Thanks to all!
In addition to the ones listed above, you can try the New York Institute of Photography. They only offer a diploma afterwards, no degree, but the entire course offerings cost under $1000. I hear that it's decent. You usually find them advertising in photo magazines such as Popular Photography & Imaging, Shutterbug, etc.
Included are all the supplies you need for the course, they even give you a press badge to get you into various events as a photojournalist. They give you a lighting umbrella and several books as well. Its all a distance education program, meaning you have to send all your work into the Instute to be graded, but all of the shipping is prepaid for you when you pay your tuition.
One tip though, request some information, then wait a few months. they will send you a deal giving you a discount. Wait another month or so after that and they will send you another coupon for yet another discount and you would be able to take the course for about $500-$600. Have fun and good luck.
