Canon VS Sony. Help me pick a camera! (Fixed Link)?

I'll mostly be using it for videos/blogs/greetings for my friends who've moved outta state. and maybe actual blogging on youtube. everyone i meet says i'd be a great youtube personality... not sure if that's a compliment.. I'll also be using it for photography.
Both of those are just little P&S cameras - the type that I carry in my purse as an emergency backup (and I call it my Mickey Mouse camera) - so don't expect miracles.
If video is important to you, you really should get a camcorder, they do a much better job.
I think it is unreasonable of us to expect one tiny camera to do WELL in both still photos and videos.
