Perhaps it has become unthinkable not to have a digital photo camera. But there is still a minority of people who cannot decide whether they want to continue using their old analog device or to buy one of those modern digital photo cameras.

Cheaper
The cost is lower, because you don't need photo film anymore. Exposed film must be processed in a photo lab. Films are limited to a maximum of 36 images and they are not cheap. After that the images must be printed on quality photo paper. To store photos on your digital camera, a memory card is required, but it is a one time investment. On the newest generation SD memory cards you can store a few hundred photos easily and it can be used repeatedly. Once the memory card is full, you can upload the photos to your computer's hard drive or another external hard drive.
Easy
The modern digital photo cameras are so easy to use that you only have to point and press the release button when used in automatic mode. There are many built-in automatic features, such as: automatic exposure, autofocus and automatic flash. The LCD screen on most of the digital photo cameras can be used to view the photos or to alter the settings of the camera.
Faster
You can see the results on the LCD screen immediately after taking photos. If a photo seems to look blurry it can be deleted with the push of a button. The memory card can be taken out and put in a photo kiosk to print the photos. The photos can be uploaded to your computer's hard drive in minutes.
Flexible
Photos stored on your PC's hard drive can be edited with software if necessary. Photo editing software enables you to correct bad lighting and colours.
The resulting photos can be put onto a CD with burning software and be watched on a TV with the help of a DVD player. The photos can be taken to a photo lab to have them printed on quality photo paper.
