Should i get all this stuff?
I'm looking to buying a Semi Pro DSLR, most probably the 50D. I would hope someone to give me feedback on the kit i'm going to get? Most probably i'll use it for some sports and macro photography. (In Singapore by the way)
Here goes:
1. Canon 50D Kit II (EF S 17-85 IS USM)
2. EF 100-400mm f/4.5-5.6L IS USM
3. EF 70-200mm f/4L USM
4. EF 100mm f/2.8 Macro USM
5. Micro Ring Lite MR-14x
6. Speedlite 580 EX II
7. Battery Grip - BG E2N
8. Manfrotto Tripod - 055XPROB
9. Ball Head - 484RC2
I've experience using the 50D with the 18-200, BG E2N, 055XPROB, 70-200 F2.8L, Nikon D200, 400D, 450D, 1000D, a200.
What i want to know now is that, should i be getting all the accesories listed? I'm only looking to buy the 50D and no other camera body.
And, i've heard people recomending the EF 70-200 F2.8 USM instead of the 100-400 f/4.5-5.6 but wouldn't it be useless with the handheld F4 Version?
I plan to use all the equipment to take wildlife, sports, and macro stuff.
Wow, you clearly have some cash to drop. Anyways, if you're going to be spending all that money I suggest you drop the kit lens and get the 17-40mm L. Also, I'd see about getting the f/2.8 version of the 70-200mm. If you're doing wildlife I'd try to keep the 100-400mm. If you need to cut anything to save money, I'd probably suggest the battery grip. This depends on your needs, but I personally would downgrade the speedlight to the 430EX to spend the extra money on the lenses I suggested.
