Professional Video Equipment Rental in San Jose CA?

does anyone know of a good place to rent a HD mini DV camera in San Jose CA I also need A Steady Cam, and if possible a Jib, or crane what ever you might call it.

The pro-gear rental houses don't deal with consumer cam rentals...

They usually start at the Sony HVR-Z1U, HVR-V1U, Canon XHA1 or Panasonic HVX200 and go up.

I did a search using my favorite browser and search engine

"san jose" +"video equipment rental"

and got several hits... you might try the same for San Francisco - they may be willing to drive south the few miels for the right $.

Generally, an indie DP will have their own video camera and tripod - and may have access to a crane - SteadyCam/GlideCam devices are pretty pricey so not many have those...

If you allowed email to your profile, I could have recommended a couple of DPs in the SF Bay Area (not me, though)... but you don't, so I won't.
