Okay to take on an airplane?
So it sounds like a weird question to ask, but I know TSA doesn't allow a lot of seemingly harmless objects onboard, so I'll play it safe and ask.
I am taking a state-to-state flight with some camera equipment. I have about 10 wire charging/USB/laptop cables I am taking (carry on) as I am flying standby (with no checked luggage). Is it okay to take all those cables with me in my carry on bag?
Second I have a fairly cheap $40 tripod (thin, flimsy legs. Weighs about 3 lbs. With a plastic head) can I also take this packed in my carry on luggage or is it too weapon-like (as I know some tripods are).
I just don't want to risk losing any equipment to TSA. Thanks for the help!!
Thanks for the replies so far!! I don't know if it will help any, but my tripod made of some thin aluminum...Not like those $200 steel ones. Mine is the Targus TG-6660TR 66-Inch tripod to be exact.
Thanks!
The cables should be fine, but the tripod for some reason is "a weapon." I tried this before
I find it incredibly rediculous, anything is a weapon as long as you hold it right.
