Dry box storage good for camera equipment?
I live in a very humid country, Singapore, which has at least 80% humidity. I just bought a Canoon EOS 1000D and am kind of a beginner. I got a dry box with silica gel to store my equipment. I heard silica gel's troublesome and I'd have to replace it frequently, but I don't want to invest in an electrical dry box at the moment.
So I was just wondering if I use the camera regularly, do I still need to store it in a dry box? How long might the equipment last if I don't? Anyone use this kind of dry box? Thanks.
