what is the best macintosh pc (not a laptop) for budding photographers who want to start a small business?
a friend of mine just graduated from business school and she wants to start a small photography business with $3200 as budget for her computer, both software and hardware. as she desperately wants a macintosh, which model would you recommend for her? if you can, please help her out with the best specs, like which video card to buy etc. also, which software would be best to use aside from photoshop? thanks a lot!
Really any of the mid-range to high end iMacs will work fine for your friend.
You really don't need to go to the trouble and expense of the MacPro towers for the vast majority of photo work.
